Nearly four years after the launch of the Crop Swap LA™ x Adidas Honoring Black Excellence collection, we are opening the archives.

Each month, we will release a limited archival piece from the original collection, including rare footwear, apparel, and accessories thoughtfully designed for urban farmers and gardeners. Every bid and donation helps sustain Crop Swap LA™'s work while expanding food growing sites, community outreach, and access to fresh food throughout Los Angeles.

In 2022, Crop Swap LA™ Founder and Executive Director Jamiah Hargins was honored by Adidas through its Honoring Black Excellence initiative in recognition of his leadership and the organization's work advancing urban agriculture, food access, and community development throughout Los Angeles.

​

Over the course of more than a year and a half, Jamiah partnered with Samantha Marie of SMLA Media and the Adidas design team to create a one of a kind capsule collection inspired by the everyday realities of growing food in the city. Every piece was intentionally designed with purpose, blending style and function for urban farmers and gardeners.

​

To celebrate the launch, Adidas hosted a community event in Leimert Park featuring a farm to table dinner, music, and the unveiling of a mural honoring Jamiah's contributions to the community. Guests were among the first to preview the exclusive collection before it became available for a limited release at the Adidas store in Culver City. Around the same time, Jamiah was featured on a billboard at Adidas headquarters in Portland, Oregon, recognizing both his leadership and the impact of Crop Swap LA™.

Although the collection was only available for a short time in 2023, a limited number of pieces were carefully preserved in our archives.

​

Beginning this summer, we will release one exclusive item from the original Crop Swap LA™ x Adidas Honoring Black Excellence collection each month. These authentic archival pieces were made in limited quantities and will never be produced again.

​

All proceeds from this auction go directly toward helping Crop Swap LA™ continue the work we are doing today while expanding our movement to grow more food.
