CSA Terms & Conditions

IMG_1195.JPG

By moving forwards with our CSA membership, you are indicating your acceptance of the following:

Terms & Conditions: The idea behind our CSA is that the risks inherent to agriculture are shared between Crop Swap LA™ and the members. When members sign up, they agree to be tolerant in case of infestation, drought, irrigation malfunction or any other natural catastrophe or production issue. If the season is good, the members will receive more than planned, if the season is bad, they will receive less- or rarely, nothing at all. Because the food is growing either way in this monthly service, we are unable to refund a skipped week (beyond the allotted 2 skips per 12 week period).

Members sign up under the knowledge that they are obligated to pay for and receive produce throughout the entire seasonal cycle (12 weeks), and will not receive a refund in the event that they decide to stop receiving produce during that cycle- no matter the reason.

CSA members are signing up for a 12 week cycle of produce, and are automatically enrolled into following cycles, in perpetuity, unless they contact our memberships department (memberships@cropswapla.org) to opt out of future cycles.

Members who select our Pick Up option are responsible for picking up their produce during our stated pick up window- which is Sundays from 11 am - 2 pm @ The Degnan Microfarm (3753 Degnan Blvd, 90018). Members who miss our pick up window can follow up to attempt a reschedule, however rescheduling is not guaranteed. Failure to pick up produce without prior communication will not incur a refund and unclaimed produce will be donated.

In moving forwards with joining our CSA, you are indicating your acceptance of the above Terms & Conditions.

We Grow Food On Unused Spaces

Growing Communities, Inc. dba Crop Swap LA ™

We acknowledge the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). We pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present and emerging.

They are the First Peoples of the region, their lands were unceded, they did not negotiate a treaty with Mexico or the US government.

Today, the First Peoples of Los Angeles struggle every day for their sovereignty.
